Suelae Robinson is an Antiguan artist of English and Guyanese descent. Through patchwork, collage, and embroidery, she explores Caribbean narratives throughout time. Her work blends diverse textile techniques, mirroring the Caribbean’s fusion of cultures shaped by history. Inspired by the region’s flora and fauna, her colorful textiles highlight the deep ties between culture and nature. Often weaving through mythology and imagination, she seeks to recover lost diasporic stories. By sharing embodied knowledge, she examines history’s interpersonal effects, fostering community understanding and growth. She is currently based in Rotterdam.
