This work is about honouring all the invisible labour of mothers. All of the emotional, physical and spiritual work that mothers put in to help raise their families and communities. With this work I want people to recognise how much it takes to be a mother and not to take it for granted, but find ways to actually give back to our mums who have most of the time sacrificed so much for others. The theme for Keti Koti this year is Freedom, so I want to leave a message of liberation for our mothers. How can we better support, pay and honour our mothers?
