Ocean Journeys

The colonisation of the Caribbean created immeasurable diasporic communities through extensive cultural exchange. Scholarship and literature often regard The Middle Passage (over the Atlantic Ocean) as the initial location of this cultural shift. This piece reminds us of our ancestral journeys and the histories we have kept alive through our traditions, stories and mythologies. It represents all that was lost, exchanged and created during that time.
